Speaker 1:

Hey you guys, welcome to Just the Two of Us. It is your broadcast host, mr Zach, so I want you to relax, put your feet up, grab you a glass of wine and a snack, cause you are tuning into my broadcast. See you later.

Speaker 2:

It is your boy, mr Zachary, on his one of the two, and this is just the two of us broadcast. How are y'all doing today? I am smoking my hookah. I am chilling with my favorite friend, my favorite cousin. She used to be part of the broadcast family. She still is. Let's go up to Jasmineasmine. Jasmine, how are you doing girl? I'm here, I'm alive, not your. Your life, how's your mental health?

Speaker 3:

I have growth. Yes, still need some work on the other areas, but I have growth in major areas, so you know it's better growth in major areas.

Speaker 2:

So it's better, better, it's better. That is best, it's better, it's better. So we just here, just rambly talking. You know we're talking about financials, talking about friendship, we talk about family. So, jasmine, first question when I ask you I have to do how, how you feel about minimum wage bullshit. Why it's a bullshit?

Speaker 3:

because it hasn't changed for years, probably about a decade, if not more so why you think it haven't changed?

Speaker 2:

shit, I'm fucking on.

Speaker 3:

People ain't pushing hard enough, because it's ridiculous how we're going this long and what's the problem like? What's going on? We got a problem raising the rent, but we we got a problem raising this minimum wage. That's just not making sense if minimum wage couldn't get moved. Rent shouldn't be pushed up, simple because logically nobody can't live off the minimum wage. Nobody can live off the minimum wage we have now and always had for years, compared to with the rent prices, how it is on average now.

Speaker 2:

In your opinion, what do you think is minimum wage now?

Speaker 3:

At least $20. At least.

Speaker 2:

Starting, I think it'd be, I feel like it'd be more, I feel like it could be more.

Speaker 3:

I feel like I feel like it could be 24, 25 that's great like that could be the minimum that's great, but that's if we could push it to be minimum. That much. 20 is like a safe haven.

Speaker 2:

Safe haven you can't get a. You can't even get a. You can't even buy an apartment for $80?, $20?.

Speaker 3:

Listen, it's possible.

Speaker 2:

It's possible. Jasmine rent is like $1,500. So it's a person who's doing $20.

Speaker 3:

On average. On average, average rent is not $1,500.

Speaker 2:

The new apartments yeah. So what's the average? Rent is not 1500. The new apartments yeah. So what's the average rate in your opinion?

Speaker 3:

it's a good, roughly between a thousand and twelve averagely. We talk, we talk about new apartments. New apartments are are I just want to turn this off. New apartments are are expensive as fuck, to the point. Nurses, doctors, people, who's making? Money like that can be paying them new apartment prices being like $ 17.

Speaker 2:

Well, I'm a accountant, so do I face that bracket? Because I'm a accountant.

Speaker 3:

They need to know that though. Okay then. So, like I said, but you say doctors and lawyers and nurses Making money out of the ass to where it's like that ain't shit.

Speaker 2:

So you say careerwise right, so does accounting fit that profile as well?

Speaker 3:

Depending on what type and how much you actually get paid on a monthly basis. If you're getting paid very well, now listen, listen I said very well to where it's like your shit is on auto-pay and you got money also set for a portion of your check putting your savings automatically. You getting paid well as fuck, to where everything, all your bills on auto pay, no matter what bill it is and how much it is, and partial of your check is set automatically to be taken out to put in your savings for emergency purposes. And you got extra money to fucking spend. And you ain't still broke so Not still broke.

Speaker 2:

That's what I said. That's what.

Speaker 3:

I said so that is one of those. Yeah, yeah, them people make them type of money. Yeah, they, they can do the expensive apartments and have 17, 16 shit sometimes even 2 000.

Speaker 2:

So basically your shit is on auto pay, baby, you don't have to worry about shit.

Speaker 3:

So but logically, though that seven dollars is a change that they had as a minimum wage, logically matching with even with the lowest rent prices, that ain't gonna work, because none of them prices we got now is any of those rent prices that they had back then when minimum wage became seven.

Speaker 2:

Something some change but you said twenty dollars and working any hours a week or not even two weeks logically, you can make that shit work if you know how to budget.

Speaker 3:

And two, it depends on your situation, because if you're single, if it's you and your partner, if it's you and just kids and I don't know how many numbers that may be that's if you got help from the person you had kids with or not. So the situation varies as well with that. Now we talking about people who's single, like we, we all with no kids. It's one of those.

Speaker 2:

By the way she said. She said we are okay, I'm single okay, we both don't have kids though.

Speaker 3:

Okay, oh, we both live on our own where and pay our own fucking bills where. So with that we can move and shake in that range of a price for a girl in ways you can, I could think for a piece of change now, girl, we know and your ass can be better.

Speaker 2:

You can budget better but I feel like, like, like you said, like I feel like it's like 20 hours, like I feel like we could do push it more, because I feel like I'm trying to push it more.

Speaker 3:

But if they ain't trying to push it, at least 20 in minimum, we're gonna start at 20 and then don't raise this in between six, because some people do raises every six months, some people do raises every year and let that shit grow. You can imagine starting at 10 or 15 and waiting for that shit to grow to get to 20 but you've been here for years.

Speaker 3:

You've been here for years, so with that being said, if there's a point where they ain't gonna push no more, none of that, it better be fucking 20. It better be fucking 20. If you ain't. I want to see a two, not a one all right, so all right, okay.

Speaker 2:

Wages weighs up to 20 dollars, right? Yep, all right. But you got fine workers. A lot of people don't want to work how much.

Speaker 3:

You don't bet, though, if you change that minimum wage, you get someone else start working. Cool, because, think about it, if you, you get some people I say everybody, some some because you got new generations that's graduating college, that's in college or graduating high school. They're already standing trying to work for no $15. Mind you, they only got a fucking either a GED or a diploma, and they still in college trying to get their degree.

Speaker 2:

And I feel like even people in college some of them should be going to college anyway- Some, but that's a learning experience for them, but other than that you got them.

Speaker 1:

that says I'm not working for $15.

Speaker 3:

Shit, I'm not working for $12. But it's like I'm not working for $20. But for you to get the job today, that's doing $20, they want you to have it $9 times $10. Not say $9 times $10, maybe experience not say nine times ten maybe a experience, yeah, the experience that they don't have how can I have a experience if I don't have? But see, this is why I said minimum 20 dollars. That means no experience, that means I fresh out.

Speaker 2:

But the thing is, when you fresh out the boat and jobs be like now oh, you got wet spirits. I just graduated and again I just graduated.

Speaker 3:

What is this same job that was just doing that low prices, they now are 20.

Speaker 2:

You don't need experience to be in fucking retail but again, if you want to hire me without going to Fuck that shit, but them jobs that will hire you, that you don't need experience.

Speaker 3:

Their minimum wage will now be $20.

Speaker 2:

Still jobs. Don't want to hire you without experience because, first of all, they don't want to train and the thing is some jobs do not want to train.

Speaker 3:

But part of jobs is to train. I have not seen a job or come across a job. Have not come across, I mean not seen, say seen but I have not come across a job where there wasn't a training process, rather if it was for a day or two or a week or over the course of a month, depending on the job description. But at the same time, there are jobs you don't need experience because they're going to train. And if we change them in a wage to twenty dollars with them same jobs that you don't need experience because they're going to train, and if we change them in a way to $20 with them same jobs that you don't need experience, oh you'll get more young folks that rather work a job. Oh, that's $20 just to be worth flipping burgers.

Speaker 2:

We have Burger King and I don't care who you flipping.

Speaker 3:

We have Burger King, and that's just the people. That's regular. Mind you, there's managers that you can work up to and get more than that.

Speaker 2:

That's you starting at 20. That's better than starting at 15. So many managers who's in position don't even get paid that much either okay then.

Speaker 3:

So, like I said, if we fighting and pushing, okay if they, if they ain't fighting, no more passes I. I want to hit 20 at the minimum.

Speaker 2:

She said I want to hit a 2.

Speaker 3:

I want a 2.

Speaker 2:

I want a 2-0.

Speaker 3:

2-0?, 2-0. Granted, we can start aiming for 25. We can start it, but if we going to back and forth, back and forth, we ain't going below that 20. We, not, we, not, we starting at 20.

Speaker 2:

Because unless you about to start bringing them rent prices down, we're starting at $20. So you think people?

Speaker 3:

can live off like the $20 minimum wage If you budget, if you budget, if you budget.

Speaker 2:

Then what is budget? People don't speak about budgeting. What's budgeting?

Speaker 3:

Budgeting is knowing what your needs and wants are, and what's a necessity and what's not.

Speaker 2:

Now give us an example.

Speaker 3:

Give us an example, let's see you need your lights right. And if you got a car, you need gas, right, you need insurance right, don't. That's a need. You buying Gucci? You trying to buy clothes? No, let's be for real. You can be stylish without breaking the bank.

Speaker 2:

Hell the fuck yeah.

Speaker 3:

But there's people who don't understand that.

Speaker 2:

Because I feel like people want what they see on social media. Fuck that, and that's the problem?

Speaker 3:

Fuck that, you can be stylish, I guarantee you right now. You can put some shit together, especially if you're a fucking target. Bitch Target's fucking hot If you can find a good walmart there we go, if you get a good walmart you can find some shit and if anything the on the market, the most expensive thing will be on you.

Speaker 3:

If we talk about do your shoes, because if you get your outfit from walmart and style it well enough, you ain't gonna think that shit from fucking walmart, and then when you get the right shoes, match with it.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that's what but the thing is, on top of that, people don't know how to read like discounts and coupons, because a lot of people don't talk about coupons that.

Speaker 3:

That too, and also no way to shop at that part because if you just shopping somewhere because you grew up shopping there and there's a food line, I got a two, two for five or a fucking aldi's. I'm discovering that shit now. All these about to become my best motherfucking friend when it comes to food shopping.

Speaker 2:

I know, with all these, oh fruits cheap stock so I thought, like, like for me, like Food Lion, like Harris Tita. Food Lion I heard Bob Lips is real gay.

Speaker 3:

Food Lion. I've heard they have deals too. Got Sandtown also. When it comes to food, they're also based on your lifestyle as well, and I buy that.

Speaker 2:

I mean if you're trying to live on a healthy angle. I feel like on a healthy angle it's very more expensive. It can be more expensive if you're trying to live on a healthy angle. I feel like on a healthy angle it's very more expensive.

Speaker 3:

It can be more expensive, but you can budget that as well. All these has a lot of healthy stuff in there, but it also has low prices. And I discovered that because I looked up people who was juicing.

Speaker 3:

So I wanted to get into juicing but then I thought about like damn food's behind, but it was where I was shopping at, to where money was added up as such, when I would just be buying fruit, so you thought about whole foods have I thought about whole foods can't cross my mind, but with people who were showing me juicing and how much, oh, I only went to this place and spent $10 to make my juices for the week, right, and you know what?

Speaker 2:

place that I kept here. If y'all see my fucking face, I'm like I'm God molesting.

Speaker 3:

And you know what place? They kept recommending Aldi's. I never went to Aldi's, because we do. I don't know why.

Speaker 2:

So we do have one where I live at and I never thought about that place because it's never been on my mind. For me, I love juicing but I don't have juicing all the time. Like you said, juicing is a lot. My food is a lot expensive and the way how grocery prices are, you can have a few things in your buggy. It's fucking $200.

Speaker 3:

It's $200 fucking dollars and that's how my buggy used to look at fucking walmart. I had a little fucking cart on purpose and still, why is my shit over a hundred dollars?

Speaker 3:

first of all and I had a- few shit like literally it's not even full. This little buggy is not even full. The biggest thing down at the bottom is either water or the laundry detergent. Why is this shit almost a hundred dollars, if not a little bit over it, make a big sense. Then, on top of that, walmart don't even have like a point system or something or like deals for real unless they don't fucking roll back first of all, let's not talk about rollback.

Speaker 2:

Let's call if I wanted to roll back it's right for rollback, especially when I'm holiday time, like you can put things on that's still a rare find, on sure. Even even clearance, that's a clearance. Clearing right, food wise, that's still a rare find. Clearance rack is more when you talk about food-wise.

Speaker 3:

That's still a rare find. Clearance rack is more what they be having with other shit. We just talk about food on, like budgeting on groceries. It's shit went up since the pandemic.

Speaker 2:

And even when we talk about like food so we just went to rent and food so I feel like when you come down to food, people don't read and substitute what they can get. You don't have to get the special shit because the cheapest shit could be bad for your body. If you could find something to substitute what you want and it was on a lower price, I guarantee you'd get it. People don't read stuff as well, because I went shopping today and I was like, let me get this. People don't read stuff as well, because I went shopping today and I was like, let me get this. But when you look at items on the shelf, they show you different brands and some of the brands are better than the major brands that we have out there. Let's talk about chips, right? So like Doritos Fritos. What else? Right? So like the riddles fritos. What else? Um, hot cheetos, right? Those are like coming in a big box and it was like what?

Speaker 3:

15, 15, 16, 18 dollars.

Speaker 2:

You know I haven't bought chips in a long time, so but even though, even though those shit high and people don't look at the other substitute, it is first of all, it's a little healthier Big chips, even the off-brand chips.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Some of those chips are very healthy. Number one A lot cheaper and it tastes better than the big brand ones.

Speaker 3:

I can test that, because I don't know about that one. You don't think so. I would have to test that, cause I don't know about that one, you don't think. You don't think so. I would have to test that out you can test it out if I get if I feel like chips, I'm getting the chips that my tongue is screaming for. So if I want some fucking Doritos, I'm gonna get them, damn Doritos, especially blue Doritos.

Speaker 2:

Be some the blue ranch Doritos who a?

Speaker 3:

I'm a spicy bitch.

Speaker 2:

But no, I have awesome chips and I forgot what the brand called and like them. Shit is real fucking good, like for real. But yeah, people need to read. We'll check on the stuff Besides reading.

Speaker 3:

Besides that, you got budgeting, reading budgeting, couponing and actually knowing what you need. Don't just be because everybody got. Everybody got an issue of going actually and also make a fucking list, because everybody got a fucking issue. When you don't go in with a list and some people still make a list and still pick up random shit.

Speaker 2:

You really need to fix that but people go up and on top of that, people, people go on aisles and different house.

Speaker 3:

They don't even be going on and it's like and like again make a list. Now, if you make a list and you still be going off of your list, it's one of those that you're not following instructions your instruction says bananas, oatmeal, bacon, chicken, how you, how you ended up getting a tv or you averaged off prime example you've rubbed off target talk is a prime prime example, if you're going to target, you better have some spending money.

Speaker 3:

Let's stop that. Don't even think about fucking grocery shopping, fucking target, because for one, if you think about it, when you walk into target, where the food at in the back but what it got, what it got up front though everything else hold on, but what's the main?

Speaker 2:

thing, oh, starbucks okay okay, but that's for starbucks addicts but again I can go to target and I'll go to starbucks again, you sure not.

Speaker 3:

No for you, for you, yeah for you as I said, that's for Starbucks addicts who can't just go on Target and not get Starbucks before starting the shop. I got to have my coffee, I got to have my Starbucks. I can go on that bitch and not get Starbucks. I might look at it. Oh, that's a pretty cup. I'm looking at the cups before I'm dead ass. I'm looking at Starbucks cups versus me thinking about getting an order. I'm not playing.

Speaker 1:

I do it in Harris City too.

Speaker 3:

I walk in there oh this pretty cup. Because they change cups every month, so I'm looking at the cups before looking at the fucking menu. I ain't gonna fuck that menu but the cups. You might get me fucked up every now and again, but besides that, the food groceries part is in the back. It's on the side Way in the back. On the side you have to pass the clothes. Wait, starbucks. First you have to pass Starbucks, you have to pass the clothes. You have to pass the skin care, body wash, makeup, baby shit, house shit, game, shit All this shit before you get to the fucking food.

Speaker 2:

That's an auto, I know they playing that shit on purpose, hey, guess what? And you grab the bitches before you even get to the fight. Exactly.

Speaker 3:

Target is an automatic setup Every fucking time, no matter who it is. Even with me not being a Starbucks bitch, I'm looking at other shit. I'm looking at skincare, body wash and all that shit.

Speaker 2:

You be like bitch. I need this shit, especially if you look at home decor which is right across the way.

Speaker 3:

Oh bitch, oh, this is a pretty lap, oh, this is a pretty lamp or this chair Bitch.

Speaker 2:

This shit can look nice in my fucking chair. This fucking pillow, a pillow, bitch Do you not?

Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no, no, no Wait a minute.

Speaker 2:

Candles, candles. Oh fuck it, don't fight the candles. Those make me smell like candles.

Speaker 3:

Even if you get around to the fucking perfume, we got a fucking problem.

Speaker 2:

And don see a nice bag or book bag. Oh oh yeah, and a notebook too. I love me a notebook. You're a notebook type.

Speaker 3:

Ass bitch, you're pretty I don't even write in it the fuck anyways besides that, fuck that, um, all that extra shit. You gotta pass all of that before you get to the food. I know they purposely set that shit up that way. I know they did because, like you gonna come in here with a grocery strategy you need to actually go to a fucking grocery store. Strictly they got, even with fucking even with fucking grocery stores.

Speaker 2:

But if you're gonna get no, no, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 3:

You're not gonna target grocery shop. You're setting yourself up and they know it, because they planted that way, you need to go to an actual grocery store.

Speaker 2:

Alright, so we used to have a grocery store right, so we food shopping. Why do you think a lot of people eat out and not cook from home?

Speaker 3:

First of all, a lot of y'all motherfuckers don't know how to cook. I ain't one of them, and you ain't either. A lot of y'all motherfuckers don't know how to cook, oh God. I, a lot of y'all motherfuckers don't know how to cook. Oh god, I know a person right now. I ain't gonna say her name, though I know a person right now. Say her name, because I know she's not the only one, so I know there's more people that does it. You door dash or Uber Eats everything, especially if you don't want to get out your house. You door dash, you Uber Eats, even drive through every fucking thing, and it's one of those. You know you could have bought groceries, but you know what you could about groceries? With that same money, that would last you at least five to seven days, not five, seven days, five to seven days now if you want no type of holes who can't eat the same meal after three to two days.

Speaker 3:

You know what that sounds like a personal problem and you know what we can. We can work that out. You know why you can still get different foods, but you know I realize.

Speaker 2:

You know why I realize too. A lot of people do Instacart. Because you don't have to go to the store, you just do your list on your phone and you know what and have it great.

Speaker 3:

For people who like to buy random shit while they go shop, who will make a list and still buy other shit, that is perfect for them, because if you can make a list and stick to that list, go get your own shit, because you're just spending extra money for somebody shopping for your shit. You're going to go on up and get.

Speaker 2:

They don't even got your shit either.

Speaker 3:

That's true, and that's true because a motherfucker can lie all day and they say they don't got it just because they can't find it.

Speaker 2:

Get your stuff out the fucking door, Go back.

Speaker 3:

That's all Bitch they had it, why didn't you grab it? I personally, I'm not about to spend no money on an Instacart when I can get my own shit, unless there's a predicament where, let's say, I got a car, my car fucked up, my car in the shop and I ain't got nobody else that's gonna come get me. I ain't got nobody else, that's my mission. I ain't got nobody else to go grocery shopping. So on all case scenario, all case scenario, from everything that didn't work, it will be instacart for me because the bitch will get up and move her fucking legs. I told you, you remember? I told you mama would send me in the store to go grocery shop because you know I'm about to be in and fucking out. Give me that list, I'm going in and fucking out my list.

Speaker 3:

I'm not doing it. I don't get that shit. No, I don't get that shit for me and get the fuck on, because you know why I am not trying to linger. I need to hurry up and get the fuck. I want get the fuck by here and get the fuck home. Home, bodies of me, home. We need to hurry up and get the fuck back here. She's your home body.

Speaker 2:

I'm both, I'm just not appreciating I think I don't do me.

Speaker 3:

You just said you do both. I just said it in a different way. You got one foot in the door, because I like socializing, and the other foot out. But you know what I?

Speaker 2:

I see a lot of money not going out and I like having people over at my place Because we don't have to go out and get shot or get in a fight.

Speaker 3:

Of course you're going to save money, not going out, bitch. You know why You're not spending money on hookah. You're not spending money on drinksah.

Speaker 2:

You're not spending money on drinks you're not spending money to get fucking in nowhere, because your house is free I mean you pay rent, but I mean you got your own dj yeah, you better fuck.

Speaker 3:

You want to listen to. You ain't got to sit around like damn they playing this shit again like no for real, or you'd be looking like what the fuck is this shit like I gotta put this, to put this shit on my playlist.

Speaker 2:

Hold on, something the DJ would play If you got the right fucking DJ, but that's not guaranteed either.

Speaker 3:

So, with that being said, of course you're going to save money when you don't go out, because one the amount of money you spent on three drinks three good drinks you could have spent on a bottle that you could have had at your house.

Speaker 2:

That would last you, first of all, even when you spent motherfucking three drinks, them shit should be expensive.

Speaker 3:

Them shit be not tasting nasty behind people, who behind the bars, but again like I said, you could have spent that on a bottle that you have in your house for yourself. That will last longer than them fucking drinks you just bought at the club. So, logically, personally I feel like $10 or $11 just for longer than them fucking drinks.

Speaker 3:

You just bought a club, so logically, personally ten dollars or eleven dollars just for a fucking cop and I could spend 30 to 40 dollars on a bottle of, and that shit would last me what? Because I don't drink every weekend, so that shit would last me for a good while. Should I just finish a bottle that I bought back in what april?

Speaker 3:

and it's fucking july so again, I can do without the going out all the time, as I don't go out all the time now. Kick back, kick back, baby. Oh, nobody all day long. Hello, say you for me. I took my own shit. I'm not ordering door dash. I'm not ordering uber eats. It's very rare, that's what you're talking about.

Speaker 2:

It's very rare when I do that. That's what she's talking about.

Speaker 3:

It's very rare when I do that, not saying I've never done it, I've done it when I'm actually at that mode. I really don't feel like cooking today and that mode takes a while to get here.

Speaker 2:

But you even know that for me I like cooking, but I don't like cooking. I like shit like frozen shit, that just popping the motherfucker microwave.

Speaker 3:

You know, those hit too, but at the same time I had to, you had to look at that sometimes a lot of sodium in that bitch. It's a lot of sodium in that bitch and it's like you better off just cooking your own shit, like cooking sometimes. I mean it's quick, I know, I get it, it's quick. Pop that shit on, hey, we whip it and it'd be cheap, and it'd be cheap but at the same time your health, but do you put that as in let's see you talking about health, right?

Speaker 2:

so?

Speaker 3:

for me, so you are. Because the sheep don't mean as good for you, so you are on the journey of healthier lifestyle now, just because I just gonna clarify for something just because I this is going to clarify, for something. Just because I say healthier lifestyle don't mean I'm vegan. I bet you still eat meat. I eat my chickens. It is nothing wrong with being vegan. I didn't say there's anything wrong with it. I just wanted to clarify for me. When I say healthier lifestyle, I still eat my meat.

Speaker 2:

Okay, we know you eat your meat. Shut the fuck up. Proceed.

Speaker 3:

But I feel like, okay, I feel like a cookie, like stop using the suitcase.

Speaker 2:

We're just going to add this clip right here For the fellas. If you had to pick one half to go out of this three option, right, wet coochie, good pH balance and a tight coochie. One has to go out of the three. So choose wisely on your two. Logically, I'm a female, but if I was a dude I'm going to keep pH and tight Because you can always get looted.

Speaker 2:

True, but I'm going to tell you tight Cuz you can always get loot, true, but I'm gonna tell you if I could joke right. So on that topic, this girl sit here oh.

Speaker 3:

You can't make this decision, cuz you can, okay.

Just because you can eat it. Back then I was non-faithful. Just because you can eat it don't mean you like it. That's what I said. What's the what's the point of you eating?

Speaker 2:

it. No, like I said, you're not. You're not straight. What's the point? You're not straight about your, but what you just said you can eat things and not like it then what's the point of eating it if you don't like it?

Speaker 3:

because you wanted to try it to see if you like and you didn't.

Speaker 2:

So again, but I like you, though I still didn't like it, but I don't put it over a dick, though I love me some dick. So you're saying you're bisexual? Hell, the fuck, no okay, then, because my point is I like getting pound okay, pound town, um, fucking dude.

Speaker 3:

Speaker 3:

I feel like for you to call yourself Don't bring that up. I mean, you could bring it up. You tried some shit. You tried it.

Speaker 2:
